Christian Education News
Vacation Bible School - Kids really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
We enjoyed learning about all the ways we can show our love for
Jesus by serving our families, our friends, our neighbors and
community. Each day the children had a service project to do for the
next day. Sometimes its as simple as picking up their rooms to help
their parents, or using their manners to serve their neighbors to
bringing in canned goods, slightly used toys/games/stuffed animals for
the local food pantry and Salvation Army. We have an anonymous
donor who is donating $1.00 for each item they bring in. All the
offering goes to support Nothing But Nets Campaign through the
greater UMC. The kids are learning about how they can save a life by
sharing pocket change. What a great opportunity to teach. Thanks
everyone for making VBS fun, possible and awesome for our children.

ALIVE FESTIVAL
It was an awesome opportunity to share in the ALIVE Festival with our
young people this year. We took a team of 23 (plus 7 visitors) to Canal
Fulton, OH for a week of Christian music, great speakers (of which our
very own Pastor Gary did a stellar job!) and much more. We enjoyed
good food, vendors, a chlorinated lake w/ and island, two water slides,
one barrel roll, three dives, one zip line, a whole bunch of water
rings-some blisters (ask Brooks), a mini-golf, kayaks, paddleboats, and
a WHOLE LOTTA JESUS!!! We had a blast! Each night we had
different speakers share their hearts about what God had done for
them, music from hte most popular contemporary Christian artists,
cotton candy, glow sticks and homemade ice cream. (Don't worry we
kept Pastor away from the Ice Cream.) All this was possible because
you, our church family, stepped up and shared your love with us. Our
spaghetti dinner was a raging success! We hope you know how much
we appreciate all you do for us. Thanks so much for making a week at
ALIVE FEST 2008 one to remember!
The Youth of Sand Hill UMC
KIDS CONNECTION is happening every Wednesday from 6:30-
8:00p.m. for children ages 2nd through 6th grade. We have
crafts, Bible lesson, snacks, worship, games and more!
Everyone is invited to join in the fun! The snow and weather
tried to keep us down but God is awesome and the kids are
having a great time!
Just a side note about KC. It takes almost 20 volunteers
weekly to make Kids Connection a possible ministry here in
our church. Thank you to those of you who are willing to make
a difference in the lives of our kids!

11:00a.m. service weekly then going to the Sanctuary to study
the New Testament.
Church School: Sunday Mornings at 10:00a.m.
